The Plan

The Plan has is now taking shape!! Croc Bones shall leave Ipswich on Sunday 20th Feb 2011.

From Ipswich we will day sail down to Falmouth and there stock up and meet our additional crew member who will help us cross down to La Coruna, Spain (or Vigo - yet to be decided) - we hope to be there by the end of the first week in March weather dependent.

From Spain we will take our time and sail down to Portugal, Morroco and then across to the Canary Islands by mid April where we will meet my parents to relax for a week before heading to the Azores. Then its stock up, prepare and go for the 'big cross'.

With Hurricane season not far away, we will be ensuring we are in hitting Barbados by the first week of June.
From there our plans are pretty relaxed... we are planning to meet lots of our friends along the way.
So far we have the below people, but would love to have more:-

• Mum & Dad - May - Canary Islands before we cross
• Ben & Amy - June when we arrive in Barbados
• Tiff - July/August - TBC
• Naomi, Emma, Mim - September time, probably near Costa Rica
• Brandon Todd - October, Nicaragua

Our next definitive date for arrival is not until the 20th October when we will arrive in Nicaragua in time for Jarvis to spend his 30th Birthday with Todd and Brandon. The journey will then get a bit more regulated. We need to be in Cuba for a specific date in order to get our Visa, so we will be there for the 22nd Dec and spend Christmas and New Years there - EXCITING!!!

Then it is on to Florida, and across to Bermuda by mid Feb so that we time the crossing back to the UK just right and miss all the excessive winds, bringing us home by end of March 2012.

Thats the plan.. whether the plan goes to plan or not... well I guess that is half the fun!
